WE SUPPORTED LEGISLATION TO GET THIS DONE!

Governor Lujan Grisham signed SB146 into law on April 5, 2021.  It paves the way for an operational State Defense Force, restructures the Department of Military Affairs, and clarifies the role of the Adjutant General and General Court Martial Convening Authorities among other things.  Special thanks to Sen. Bill Burt for his continued support of the NMNG and his sponsorship of this legislation.

WE SUPPORTED HB252 -  SIGNED BY GOVERNOR!

Governor Lujan Grisham signed HB 252 into law on March 6, 2024.  This removed the sunset on veteran tax exemption for the first $30,000 and also added surviving spouses as beneficiaries.
